Full house at our AI breakfast for project managers

Together with Avo Consulting, we invited project managers from construction and real estate to a hands-on breakfast seminar on practical AI. More than 40 participants from around 20 companies joined us in Oslo to explore how AI can be put to work on the tasks they deal with every day.

Practical AI from day one

The goal was simple: to show how AI can be used for concrete tasks that project managers recognise from their everyday work.

We demonstrated how to extract information from PDFs and Excel files, structure it, and turn it into useful material for emails, summaries and project communication. We also ran a dedicated demo on collecting and approving building documentation, which sparked plenty of engagement and questions in the room.

Then it was time to put the tools to work. Participants split into groups based on the AI tools they were using and worked hands-on with cases from their own day-to-day projects.

Hands-on from start to finish. Participants followed concrete demos and worked on their own cases along the way.

A clear signal from the industry

The fact that the seminar filled up so quickly says something about where the construction and real estate industry is right now.

Many project managers have already experimented with AI, but the step from trying a tool to actually incorporating it into project work is a bigger one. Several participants told us they had tested AI before but lacked concrete ways to use it in their everyday work.

That was exactly the point of the seminar.

When project managers see AI being used on tasks they already recognise – with documents, spreadsheets, emails and project information they work with every day – AI becomes less abstract and much easier to start using in practice.

More to come

We came away from the morning with plenty of good conversations, sharp questions and a clear sense that this is only the beginning. We are therefore planning more seminars in Oslo throughout the autumn, as well as bringing the format to Bergen and other cities in Norway. Want to join the next one? Follow Rucoria on LinkedIn, and we’ll share the details as soon as new dates are confirmed. Thanks to Avo Consulting for a great collaboration, and to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a good morning.

We’re already looking forward to the next one.
